I use Asset media server UPnP for music and audio book files streaming. Asset has transcode on the fly for FLAC to Wave which the LG's support natively. My new Panasonic TV will have DLNA support for audio and video as well so I will have to check its capability when it arrives. PS3 Media server uses reasonably standard DLNA protocols, the main problem with most formats is just allshare being _very_ limited in the codecs that it supports. You're better off getting CIFS working via threads elsewhere in this forum and mounting your media share as a local folder on the GTab. The native video app even plays .MKV files much to my amazement.

TVersity Media Server Changelog

So i've been using the PS3 Media Server that got realeased a little bit ago and love it. except for one thing. When i try to watch long .avi files, it lags up really bad at times saying "Network error" or lately stops altogether saying "The content cannot be played." Anyone have any ideas...
